Why Hattrick Supporter?

Keeping Hattrick free and open for everyone has always been an important concept for us. Internet culture is all about openness, interaction and generosity between users and developers alike. These are values that are quite important to us.

At the same time, we get many requests for improvements to Hattrick that we simply lack the means to realize. Like any other company, we have to make ends meet. That is not so easy, since we are giving our product away for free!

This is why we introduced Hattrick Supporter. It's a collection of extra services, made available for a modest fee. The service will make your time at Hattrick easier as well as more fun. Buddy lists, personalized statistics and a real time News Ticker are included in the first version of Hattrick Supporter. And the service will expand over time.

When we have discussed the prospect of introducing fees with our users, the attitude has more often than not been something like this: "Personally, I would be happy to pay a little something to play, but don't make it obligatory, because then a lot of people will quit the game altogether".

We think Hattrick Supporter is a smart solution to all this. Hattrick as we know it today will continue as a free service, no matter how long you keep your team or how many hours you put into it. At the same time, people who feel like making a contribution to the development of the game can do so, and at the same time get some extra value out of it.

Hattrick Supporter members will not get any favours in the game. We won't force you to pay - it's perfectly fine if you prefer to continue being a non-paying user. The difference is that Hattrick Supporter members will get a richer experience than the normal user.
